Time Trials Are Back

Five hardy souls turned up for the first Time Trial gathering of the club this year. We followed the Orchardstown route from Top Oil Garage(next to Whitfield Hospital). The route is 21.5kms and has a good variety of terrain. Last night conditions were very good with wind ok and the sun shining. First home was Paul Wyse (Pio) in a time of 35.00, next was Tom Casey in 35.45, Paul Mc Manus 38.26, Dave Mc Connell 40.27 and David Devine who had a problem with his knee and DNF. Hope its nothing serious. For all those who turned up Wednesday suits best so we will stick with Wednesday for next week. Only one aero helmet turned up so dont feel under pressure if its your first time and it takes an hour to get around, its only a bit of fun but will bring you on a lot. Our time keeper had to pull out at the last minute so we did our own times. But if anyone is doing nothing on Wednesdays and would like to help feel free to come along. We will stick to same route next week. If people want to go longer we could do 2 laps and start those 2 lap people at 6.30 in a couple of weeks . Thats if you want to get up to 40k, but we will play that by ear. Well done to all who turned up.Next Wednesday 6.45pm Top Oil Garage.
